This was the last horn Lowell Greer worked on before selling his shop in 2017.
A nice playing German natural horn from the mid-late 19th century, completed by Lowell Greer. The crook set for this horn is C alto, Bb alto, A, G, F, E, Eb, and a perfect 4th coupler for the lower keys.
The corpus is fairly short, so Lowell’s crook set plays above A=440. Most keys can get A=440 with the tuning slide pulled out to varying degrees. An easy solution to play easier in A=440 is to have a longer main tuning slide made.
Comes with a Marcus Bonna natural horn case, and a K2 sheet metal natural horn mouthpiece made by Richard Seraphinoff. Lovely blue painted bell.
