A train ride away from NYC in our hometown of Patchogue, NY, we’ve partnered with Family Melody Center to offer current and prospective customers a way to try out instruments and accessories from our inventory and consult with Dr. James Hampson.

While you’re here, we encourage you to check out Family Melody Center, the longtime local music store in Patchogue, NY. They’ve now helped to develop the musicianship of three generations of Hampsons!
- By Train: We’re only a 5 minute walk from the Patchogue Train Station. Take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from NYC to Patchogue Station. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.Â
- By Car:Â Take I-495 E (Long Island Expressway) to exit 63 toward North Ocean Avenue. Continue south on North Ocean Avenue until you reach downtown Patchogue. Parking lot is located behind the store on Terry St. Free parking until 6pm.
Our downtown’s been revived since James grew up here, and we’re located on the south shore of Long Island so there’s plenty to do outdoors. The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is the spot for a wide range of performances and events. Then there’s the Blue Point Brewing Company where you can grab a cold one and get a peek behind the scenes of their brewery. And if you’re into water activities, we’re close to the Great South Bay, Fire Island National Seashore, the Brookhaven Ecology Site, and the Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park.
