Tech Oil Grease

Available

$8.99

We are now a dealer for Tech-Grease, the newest product from Tech-Oil Lubricants. It’s really great stuff with an applicator wand that keeps your fingers dry. Stable and long-lasting, High Lubricity = slippery, and zero air leakage at the slide.

Tech-Oil is an amazing new piston and rotor oil, especially great on antique & vintage instruments, and instruments with pumpenvalves.

Tech-Oil, premium grade valve and rotor lubricant, is superior to other oils because of its unique features such as:

Long-lasting. Most players report they do not need to lubricate their pistons more than once a month! Play more, oil less.

Lubricity. Tech-Oil has a slightly higher viscosity (tension) than other oils, keeping it on the piston instead of on the floor, but it has a vastly higher lubricity (how much it lubricates) than other oils that more than makes up for its higher viscosity.

Water Pass Over ratio. Water and oil don’t mix, right…but they can change places. This is why most piston instruments still get water condensation in the bottom caps – because the water in your breath pushes past your oil. That means your horn is leaking air and that’s not good. Tech-Oil stays in place and prevents water in your breath from passing over it.

Evaporation Rate: Hot, cold, room temperature…Tech-Oil doesn’t care. Tech-Oil is made up of an extremely small molecule that resists evaporation and climate changes. This means it stays on your piston for a very…long…time.

Tech-Grease comes with an applicator wand and is:

Stable and long-lasting

High Lubricity = slippery

Zero air leakage at the slide

Recent reviews:

“James was kind enough to send me a bottle of Tech-Oil to try, since I play on two pre-war C.F. Schmidt horns. It quickly freed up a sluggish valve on one of the horns, and it seems to work well with the Hetman slide grease I use. A bonus is that I can also use it on the piston thumb valves, so I don’t need to carry around a separate bottle of piston oil.”
