Schopper Natural Trumpet c. 1900

New Item!

$3,000.00

An amazing natural trumpet made by Robert Schopper in Leipzig around 1900. It was fully restored to beautiful condition by Wolfram in Germany. Richard Seraphinoff made a full crook set from E at A=430 down to Bb basso at A=415 (could even get A and lower) playable at any pitch level with all the different crooks and tuning bits. Original mouthpiece. We spoke with Jean-François Madeuf about these Schopper trumpets and he loves them. Made the same way 18th century trumpets were, great for period playing without holes. It’s a historic, historic natural trumpet!

Recently performed on in New York City with Kollective366.

A new Marcus Bonna baroque trumpet case could be added for an extra $350.

Part of Dr. James Hampson’s personal collection.
