Here we have a great playing Olds Geyer wrap double horn in nickel silver. These were originally made to compete with the pre-letter Conn 8Ds to be a more efficient playing instrument while retaining a similar sound concept. These are a nice hybrid instrument between the large nickel silver Conn 8D and a medium brass Geyer wrap. Great for players that want a Geyer wrap but crave that 8D sound! A huge bonus that these use Marston valves, the same valve maker that Geyer himself used.
For being 60+ years old this horn is in good condition. It’s had a history of repairs but it has decent compression and the horn plays well. Some small dings and lacquer wear common for the age.
A great first horn for an advancing student or a great backup horn for a professional. One of the lowest cost Geyer wraps you can find on the market and these play surprisingly well!
