A unique Lowell Greer creation!
High Bb soprano descant horn with low Bb thumb valve, made from parts of different instruments. Bell is from a Boosey instrument, possibly from a ballad horn. Lowell was trying to make a “corno da caccia” which is a modern 3 or 4 valve high Bb instrument meant for the high baroque and classical repertoire.
This instrument plays very high to A=440, almost in B. Being sold as more of a unique Lowell creation than a functioning instrument, although one could get it fixed up with a new leadpipe to play at A=440.
