Bohland & Fuchs was one of the top instrument makers in the world from their start in 1870 to 1945 when instrument production became nationalized under Amati, and they still make instruments today. Many instruments were imported into the United States as stencils, Carl Fischer in New York being one of the main importers (we know them now for importing the popular C.F. Schmid horns as well as Kruspe horns).
This single F is a unique design, but does play quite well! It’s dates to before/during World War I as “Bohemia” is on the leadpipe. It’s seen a history of repairs and not the best looking horn, but a great example of a 100+ year old single F horn.
