Privacy Policy

If you receive an instrument or accessory that was damaged in transit, contact us immediately at james@hampsonhorns.com. Please keep the original box and all of the packing materials so we can file a claim to refund the cost of repairs. Take detailed photos of the damage to the instrument/accessory, any visible damage on the box, and photos of all the packing materials in the box. An estimate for repairs from a repair tech is also required, but this can be done after you have contacted us. Failure to follow these steps will make all sales final and any repairs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Trial Period
Eligible Horns

We know how important it is to try out a horn before committing to it. We’re happy to work with you so you can be confident in your purchase.

Once an instrument is received by a customer, it is considered on trial for a period of seven (7) days. Before the trial period can begin, the invoice, including shipping and applicable taxes, must be paid in full unless other arrangements have been made.

If the horn on trial is not postmarked for return after seven (7) days, the instrument is considered a final sale. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay for shipping both to and from Hampson Horns. If damaged in transit from Hampson Horns, the customer is required to inform us immediately to arrange filing a claim for repairs. Any damage incurred during trial period and/or on transit back to Hampson Horns will be the responsibility of the customer to cover the costs of repairs.

If any modifications are done to the instrument during the trial period, the instrument is considered a final sale with no returns.

If shipping an instrument back to Hampson Horns, follow shipping & packaging instructions provided here.

Shipping & Packaging Instructions

Return Policy
Horns (sold in US): For horns with the 7 day trial period, if you don’t want to purchase the horn please contact us within the 7 days to arrange a return. Please return it with the original packaging. If any modifications are done during the trial period, the sale is considered final and no returns are accepted. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

Made-to-Order: All sales are final, unless item not as described. Custom made instruments, such as the O’Malley Hampson Model natural horn, require an upfront non-refundable deposit. This deposit secures your spot in queue and will be used against the total value of the instrument. Once the horn is ready to be shipped you will be notified and the rest of the balance, plus shipping, will need to be paid.

Accessories: All sales are final unless item is not as described.

International Sales: All sales are final.

All Sales: If you are unsatisfied with your purchase at any time, please contact us to see how we can assist you in feeling more confident about your purchase. Used instruments, especially vintage and antique, can take time to get used to, and we are more than happy to help you with tips and suggestions to make your experience better.

Consignment Policy
Have a horn you want to sell? We can help you!

For a 15% commission on the total sale, Hampson Horns will take professional photographs, list, and market your instrument. If you like we’ll even put together videos of Dr. Hampson performing excerpts of your choice as promotional material on our website, social media channels, and more!

What we require from you:

Contact us to discuss your instrument. From there we will figure out the best path forward, including selling price, videos, and if your instrument requires any repairs before listing. If we both decide it is a good fit, you can ship us your instrument by following the shipping and packaging instructions page. Once received we will thoroughly inspect the instrument, determine if any repairs are required (to be paid by you), take photographs, videos if desired, and will list and market. Once the instrument is sold you will receive payment by check for the price of the horn, minus the 15% commission.

Any repairs on your instrument must be paid before the item can be listed.
