Never heard of the Holton model 77 double horn? This model was the first iteration of the Holton Farkas line, and in our opinion, one of the best American factory double horns ever made.
This Holton 77 was first owned by Dr. James Winter, a past president of the International Horn Society and major pedagogue. He sold it to a student, the current owner, who has kept the horn in exceptional condition!
This horn plays very well. It had a recent valve job so it’s ready to be played every day. Has a few dents but all minimal. A slight crumple in the flare as well but none seem to affect playability.
A great double horn for an advancing student or even a professional looking for a more efficient Kruspe wrap that blends well even with Geyer sections.
